Safety routines

  • Arrival and dismissal

A teacher greets each child at the door in the morning and walks each child to their adult in the afternoon. Only the adults on the family's pickup list may collect a child.

  • Visitors

Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. Parents who help in a classroom sign in the same way.

  • Drills

We practice fire and earthquake drills on a calendar the principal keeps, and we tell the children what each drill is before we begin.

  • Allergies

Tell us about allergies at the visit; we ask privately once you enroll. Each teacher keeps the plan for the children in her room.

  • Illness

A child who is unwell stays home until the next morning, and a teacher calls an adult in the family when a child feels unwell at school.
